A Couple Things to Keep in Mind

16 Jul

If you are following my blog get used to my randomness. lol I am also new to this extreme couponing thing. I’ve been doing this about 2 months now and still learning, but I think I’m doing pretty good. Anyways things to keep in mind is if you are BRAND new at starting this – take your time. Don’t plan a big shopping trip right out the gate. Start small. Pick a favorite store of two and learn the ropes, feel comfortable. Then move onto bigger trips. I go to several stores a week, none are huge. Take your time. Don’t feel rushed, carefully plan your trips and keep it in prospective. If you only have $100 to spend this week and your favorite shampoo is on sale for 75% off – doesn’t mean you have to clear shelves and have enough shampoo for 2 years and no food in the fridge. See my point? It’s good to stock pile however if it’s a good sale now, it will be a good sale again probably in 3 months. That’s pretty much the cycle time – see the sale cycle post!

Another thing if you have signed up for various deal’s on websites, and coupons if you haven’t already you may want to get a separate email like yahoo or gmail. You don’t want to flood your major everyday email with all the emails these websites will send you. I have a separate email account for all mine. When I first started I probably signed up for every website offering anything to save money. Now my yahoo account gets about 200 emails a day – crazy right?
